Easy and Reliable Homemade Saj Bread
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 3/4 cup warm water
Preparation
Add the water gradually to the dry ingredients and knead until you get a cohesive, smooth, and slightly soft dough.
Let the dough rest for at least one hour.
Divide the dough into four pieces.
Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Roll out each piece into a flat round.
Heat a saj pan, large skillet, or any large pan over high heat.
Cook each bread, flipping continuously, until it is cooked on all sides.
Immediately cover the bread to keep it soft.
Tips
This quantity makes four breads and can be doubled as desired.
A special bread bag can be used for covering if available.
