Healthy Oatmeal Breakfast with Berries

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tsp chia seeds or ground flax seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Splash of vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1/2 sliced banana
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

Toppings

  • banana
  • blueberries
  • blackberries
  • raspberries
  • hemp hearts
  • peanut butter
  • cacao nibs

Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to a saucepan and bring to a simmer.

  2. Allow to cook and thicken while stirring for about 5 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat and pour into a bowl.

  4. Then top with desired fruits and additions as you like.

  5. Note: You don't have to match the bowl exactly; beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
